Hey everyone, sorry for the late update. We were actually experiencing technical difficulties this time. The launch of the new site has been delayed a bit, but will be up soon.
Looks like we’re heading into a flashback sequence! Oh goodie gumdrops! A few folks that saw this page on the forum commented on the comfort of flying pregnant. Take some weight off them feet, ma’am.
As I mentioned last week…Coming soon- a Xylia Store! We hope to have tees, collectable character bookmarks, and a calendar available very soon. (Not doing two comic pages is going to help me get this accomplished! ^_^ Next week I will be posting some tee shirt ideas and polling you on which two are your favorite. Then we will be taking pre-orders at the end of the month.
Also coming soon- a contest. How would you like to be an Azloean? Stay tuned to see how!
Thank you for sharing your opinion on Claude’s facial hair! Some of you said ixnay on the beard, but the majority said yes, as long as it’s tasteful! So the whiskers will stay. For a while.

Hey Barb! Just want to congratulate you on your new website, looks incredible! Breathtaking! And the comic is looking to become even more exciting!

The page is amazing too, I cant wait to see whats going to happen in the flashback.
About the plushie: for me it would depend on the cost, esp. for shipping. When I buy something from Amazon, Lulu or some other online store in the US, I mostly pay the double price just because of the shipping….
I hope that answers your question enough.
So, in case high costs shipping Id say no, not even when its a Livy plushy (it would probably look adorable!!) When the costs are low, Id consider it.
Ive a question too, since Wowio went global I wanted to download the issues of Talismen but it seems to have disappeared. What happened?

Whether or not I’d buy a Livy plushie depends on how it looks and how much it costs.

I would love to be an Azloean! I’m not much of a fairy-type of person, but I love the magic and beauty of your worlds. Perhaps a time-reincarnation like Claude? Hard to say.
As for the Livy plushie, wow–it depends mostly on cost. (Student budgets stink!) I would love to get one though–Livy is my favorite Corgi ever!!!

Despite your troubles, the new site and latest page look great. Lovely, lovely swirly mist effects. It always feel this way, but this page feels even more like lush animation than useful.

I’d not buy a Livy plushie, because, as Rae said : “Student budgets stink!”.
I tried to post a comment yesterday, but the site was out of access for me, so I past it here : it was about Dr Ambrosia and Claudius’ paternity.
“I was not surprised when Ambrosia told Claudius he was his father : before, Livy told Katharos to “summon her father”, and Ambrosia came, dressed like Father Christmas. Remember ?
Since Katharos was his sister… Ambrosia was the father of his sister… and so on. “

Ah ha! Marie is a careful reader. That was indeed an early clue- and if you noticed the family resemblance that Kath had to Claude, you really shouldn’t have been too surprised… ^_^ I make things confusing though. By design. BWHA HA HA!

Oh this page is lovely! I love the swirly glittery mist effects of the crystal staff. The pregnant fairy is Claudius’ mom, right?
About the Livy plushie, I don’t think I would buy one unless there was some way to distinguish this corgie from all the other corgie plushies out there. Know what i mean?

Oooh. I’d love to be an Azloean! I cannot afford a plushie right now, unfortunately. I would love one, but to be quite honest it would probably just end up as another cat toy if small enough, or a cat bed if big enough. They certainly do claim their territories! haha.

I think the thought of a Livy plushie is really cute–I wouldn’t buy one though, because I have neither the money nor place to put it. (I’m still looking for a place to put the stuff animals I acquired as a kid.) =_=;

As my collection of stuffed animals now occupies a quarter of our bed, the floor beside it, two on the nightstand, and a whole box full of them in the closet, I would have to say no on the Livy plushie. I would however ask for Xylia t-shirts, coffee mugs, journals, and calenders for birthdays and Christmas.
BTW, I couldn’t get the comment page to work yesterday and my beard comment was never posted. I just thought that the beard could be a subconscious symbol. For example: whenever Claudius is learning, being trained, advised, etc, then he would shave, but when he starts taking responsibility for himself and doing a man’s job then he would forget to shave because he has more important things to worry about, like saving the world and getting the girl. This is just a suggestion but it would mix well with the other subtleties you are working into the story.

Hi! I had found you the other day an hour or so before the site was redesigned and then started reading Xylia from the beginning. Today i finally reached the current up to date page. I love your art and now a certified Xyliac! I was wondering where I can get images that can be reposted on my own blog as a badge or just to show readers what my current interests are?

I too would would be interested in some sort of official Xyliac “badge” to post on my blog. I’m sure there’s a way of doing it myself, and there’s probably some sort of official one going around somewhere *guilty face — hasn’t really looked around for it before posting this*
But I would love to have something like that, especially if it linked back to Xylia. I don’t get a whole lot of traffic to my blog or anything, but still, free advertising for Xylia? I’m game.

I do believe there is a badge you can swipe in the Xyliac forum (*points up to the forum link*) There’s a blue and purple image midway on the right that says “Xyliacs. This is the hangout for Xyliacs, people who read…”
There’s a link that says “get code” beneath it.

wow, has it really been a year already? i haven’t followed the comic from the very very beginning, but i have followed it from like the fourth page!
i really, really love the art in this, and the story too! the art is just so sparkly and pretty and i love that!
if i had enough money to spare on a plushie (and maybe i will) i would definitely buy one!

Small plush of Livy, say like Webkins animal size maybe, but its not something I’d buy more than one of; anything large no, too big and probably too costly. I would totally go for calender though, something made flat for my desk, not a wall hanging one since I have a cubicle.
