The current page is still missing in Firefox. It shows up fine in Safari. Previous comics are fine, it's only the latest one that is always missing. Some page code on the main page apparently has compatibility issues.

Kaylana- Great! Thank you for sharing the info. I reloaded the pages. My operating system was corrupted and had been going down hill for a couple weeks- it's possible that when I uploaded the pages, bits of information were not included that some of you needed to view them. It's the only piece of the puzzle that seems to make sense.

I hope everyone else is able to view the images now and going forward! Thank you everyone for your help in sharing info so we could troubleshoot the issue.

I'm not sure what was changed, but it worked beautifully for me. I can now see the comic on both google chrome and internet explorer.
Thank you!

Thanks everyone for letting us know about your problems with the site. I'm going to try to reload the last two pages in just a moment- hoepfully this may solve the problem.

Thanks!

I seriously doubt that it's user error, since this is the only image in the entirety of the internet, much less this comic site, that I'm having difficulty seeing, and there are so many people suffering from this identical problem.

@Pooga, checked the permissions, nothing wrong there. I am pretty sure this problem with the comics is a mixture of user-related issues (security/filtering/old browsers) and image encoding on Barb's end. If some comics are showing in the comics folder, it couldn't be permissions. If all the but the most recent pages since the upgrade are showing, then it some sort of image-specific problem. It can't be site-related. Nothing is correlating enough to pinpoint 1 cause. It's multiple causes on multiple ends. The problem is fixing it for everyone. :D

Just had a thought. It seems that it's only the images in http://xyliatales.com/comics/ that are not being displayed. Perhaps it's some kind of odd permissions problem?

I *finally* remembered to try from home (Firefox 3.5 on Windows Vista SP1), and got to see the last couple of weeks. From work, using IE7 (version 7.0.5730.13CO specifically) on Windows XP SP2, I am still getting results as described by Dennari above. The entire site *appears* to display correctly, except for the comic image itself. This is also true for all archive pages I've checked. Entering the URL for the image directly (http://xyliatales.com/comics/2009-09-14.jpg for example) leads to a missing image icon.

I've had similar results on other webcomics I tried to visit in the past because our company uses Websense web filtering, which can do some screwy things. Usually, though, those cases involve situations where the missing image is actually hosted at a different site than the rest of the page. Trying the URL directly in those cases usually shows a blocking screen.

I'd say there's a good chance this is still related to my company's bizarre and often arbitrary web filtering rules, but it looks like others are having similar issues.
