I decided to write a little post to those of you who drop by and visit us here. Anyone who knows me at all knows that I’m a wee bit paranoid (wee? right…try again) I try not to be, but it is what it is!! Anyway, lately I see that fewer folks are commenting on the new updates, and I just wanted to put out the question- ‘why?’ Do you dislike the new comment feature? Do you just have nothing you think is important to say? OR worse- is the story getting blech?
Please tell me dear readers. I miss you.

I’m a reader – never commented before, this is the first time, but I’d just like to say that I don’t normally comment on comics, but I do enjoy them. I guess that’s a little selfish…
Still, I do enjoy Xylia Tales – the artwork is exquisite, I’d be daft if I didn’t enjoy it

New reader – but I’ve really enjoyed the story so far!
I ran thru the archives in 2 days of on and off reading!
I agree with lazerfx – the artwork is incredible and I really enjoy both the premise and the story!
Keep it up – and thanks!

I’m just always so stressed out with summer study abroad stuff that I barely have time to remember to check for pages….
Also because I never think I have anything relevant to say…
The story is getting more intense than EVER!

i’m not a new reader, but i sometimes feel that i have nothing important to say – i get somewhat nervous when talking to new people. and not only that, but i am currently preparing my own comic, so that leaves me limited time on the internet [doing other things when i should be doing that. xD]
in all seriousness, i think this is one of the most creative and original comic i have ever read. and you always leave me itching for more! so, i’ll see what i can do to comment more. i feel kinda bad, now that i think about it…

I am using an rss reader. I vote every time but I don’t directly go to your site. I like how you do your rss posts because it has the comic, your post and the vote button.
Thanks for the story.

I don’t usually comment on things (yay for being eaisly distracted xD) but I love Xylia. The story is very intresting and the art is beautiful.

WOW! Thank you for writing, all of you. It really gives my morale a tremendous boost to hear from readers! And I totally understand about not writing – I get busy too, and often forget to drop messages with my favorite webcomic creators. But I sure appreciate hearing from you all, and happy to hear that for some of you the story is getting ‘more intense’ and keeping you ‘itching for more’! That really gives me such inspiration!!!
Thank you for writing!!

Sorry I have never commented before, but I get this through the RSS and don’t see the coments. But here I am now!

I love the comic and really enjoy reading it, I only wish it updated more often lol (but your busy, as are we all). I just avoid comment threads and forums as a general rule. Too many of them end up filled with people who….don’t communicate effectively. Still, the comic is awesome and I enjoy reading it immensely.

This is my second comment… and to make you happy, I’ll do my best to make more!

Well, I’m here and I >>LOVE<< your art/story!

I read your comic, but never comment. But that’s not to say I don’t love your comic and anxiously await updates. Thanks for the fantastic comic!

I try to comment now and then to let you know I’m still here, but sometimes I just can’t think of anything non-stupid to say. ^^; Your comic is awesome, as always, and I eagerly await each new installment!

relatively new reader. (started reading mid 3rd chapter). this is my first comment since i’ve started using the internet. just wanted to appreciate your work. because with this post i thought you deserve som appreciation. probably will not post a comment anywhere for a decade. keep up the great work.

^_^ I love ya Barb, and you know how much I love your creation here, but I don’t always have something to say. Sure, I could easily post a “Whoot! Great Job, keep it coming!” type comment each update, but would that mean anything to you?
So far I’ve spoken up when I have something to say or when something has really stood out to me. Also, your questions that you ask your readers tend to get me to pipe up.

I feel a bit wrong leaving a comment, but I love the comic and vote everyday. At least as often as the TWC is up. Which seems to becoming an issue. Still it is great work and biased as I am, I would love to see some Xylia merchandise.

I’m around, the comic might not be as fast-paced as in the beginning, but it’s good anyway.

I think it’s very nice of you to care so much about us, your readers
).
I Comment from time to time, I feel I don’t always have meaningful things to say. Xylia is great and, in my opinion, in no way going downhill!!! Thanks for making this wonderful comic and keep up the great work!

I’m sure you have lots of readers, don’t be silly.
I’ve never left a comment before, but I do read Xylia, it’s bookmarked in my bookmarks toolbar so I can click it everyday! Don’t worry about the story, it’s been engaging from the start. And the art work is just astounding. The panel where dr. Ambrosia wore a fur trimmed hood and was backlit by the setting sun in a wintry landscaping just took my breath away. Please keep up the good work. I know you have a very full life and lots to do, so I really appreciate you taking the time to create this for us.

I’m a new reader (discovered this last week). I’m usually very busy in real life.

Ps.
I love what I’ve seen so far.

I love how you made the apology in “Claude”’s handwriting. The only critisism is that it was a bit hard to read.

Hey there! Been reading since pretty much the beginning but I’ve never left a comment before, thought I would though, ’cause this comic is awesome!!
